Danny Quintana is the president of the Global High Seas Marine Preserve, a non-profit education organization that works on ocean environmental issues. The proceeds of his books go to fund our global public education campaign. By 2048, the majority of the ocean's fisheries are going to collapse unless we take some immediate action. 

We are working with universities, government and private industry to spread the following message: When people are on the beach enjoying the sun and water, they cannot see the damage that is taking place under the waves. Time is of the essence on global environmental problems. Unless we immediately change our fishing and consumption practices, by 2050, the majority of global fisheries will collapse.
